What a great weekend at Bench Rest Rifle Club in Wright City, MO!

The weather was hot, but not as hot as it had been lately. We jumped right in on Saturday with history, Hits Count target, and a lot of instruction.
The shooters took to it immediately, and I could see them absorbing everything that was thrown at them. By the end of the day, we had 2 Riflemen re-qualify - Austin with a 221 and Craig with a 221 as well!

We reviewed on Sunday and got into some AQT's. Mark re-qualified with a 210 and just before he had to leave for the day, Ben shot a Rifleman score of 222! A couple of our volunteers put a mat down and did some shooting, Suitcase shot a 233, and M-Dawg got a score of 239!

Of course these scores do not tell the whole story. We had several shooters who were first time Appleseeders who came a long way from that first Hits Count target on Saturday. Nathan, David, and Dylan were all knocking at the door. Remember - A Rifleman persists!
Abigail had a difficult day Saturday, but came back Sunday and really improved. She reminded me of my daughter Paige (Suitcase) when she was that age.

I want to thank each one of our shooters for being safe, and for trying your best.

And of course thanks to Bench Rest Rifle Club for hosting us, helping with issues we encountered, and for keeping the range in such good shape.
