Coshocton Appleseed Weekend Report
Saturday, May 30th greeted us with nearly perfect weather and 19 young Patriots eager to learn marksmanship and heritage. After the safety briefing and introductory instruction, we posted our first Hits Count target of the weekend. One shooter cleared!

From there, we moved into more advanced marksmanship instruction, interspersed with breaks and lessons on the Three Strikes of the Match. As the day progressed, shooters continued to sharpen their skills and build confidence behind the rifle.
At the end of the day, we posted our final Hits Count target for Saturday, and four shooters cleared. Most notably, Ty cleared his first Hits Count target! Huzzah!

Sunday morning dawned with beautiful weather and 16 Patriots ready to get back on the line. Following a safety review and morning instruction, we posted the first Hits Count target of the day. One shooter cleared.
Throughout the day, shooters worked through marksmanship drills, learned additional history, enjoyed good food and fellowship, and demonstrated steady improvement across the line. On Sunday afternoon, we posted the final Hits Count target of the weekend, with three shooters clearing.

A special congratulations goes to Mike, who successfully cleared all four Hits Count targets over the course of the weekend. Huzzah!

Rifleman Achievements
Marksmanship improved steadily throughout the weekend, with several shooters re-qualifying as Riflemen and posting impressive scores:
Manic re-qualified with a top score of 220.
Naga re-qualified with an outstanding 237 on iron sights, reconfirming his Distinguished status. Huzzah!
Mike re-qualified with a high score of 236.
Aliquippa re-qualified with a high score of 232.
Josh re-qualified with a high score of 223.
BlackKnight1300 re-qualified with a high score of 226.
Hosanna (King Bob) re-qualified with a solid 210.
Samuel earned his Rifleman patch with a respectable 215. Huzzah! Huzzah!

Thank You
The weekend was a tremendous success, and a lot of fun. We would like to extend a special thank-you to the Coshocton Gun Club for hosting the event, providing access to their facilities, and setting up canopies with ground cover. Their support made time on the line and instruction significantly more comfortable for everyone.

Until Next Time
To all who attended: thank you for spending your weekend with us. We hope to see every one of you back on the line at a future event.

And for those still chasing that Rifleman patch:
Dry fire! Dry fire! Dry fire!
Huzzah! :F
