What a great weekend!!  A Special thank you to the Central Florida Rifle and Pistol Club for hosting us and always supporting us!

We had 8 ladies come out and brave the HEAT to shoot with us this weekend. Thanks to Heather for rounding them up, and thanks to everyone else for answering the call!!

Although the weather was HOT, these ladies showed up with positive, teachable attitudes. They listened carefully to the instruction and worked hard to apply what they learned. We saw a tremendous amount of progress throughout the weekend.

Everyone listened intently as the history was shared, and they asked some great questions along the way. It was wonderful to see both marksmanship skills and appreciation for the history grow over the course of the event.

I hope to see everyone at an event soon!  From what I heard, most of these ladies will be showing up in Palm Bay soon to show what they learned this weekend, and try again for the coveted Rifleman patch.

Thank you to the instructors who braved the heat and made this event a success: The Menace, Sarea_51 and Gunjunkie!

I LOVE this stuff!

"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again" Ronald Reagan

Thank you all for taking the time to hold a Ladyseed event! You did a phenomenal job storytelling and bringing the history to life! This was a great introduction to marksmanship for all of these young ladies and I really appreciated how willing all of our instructors were to slow everything down so everyone had a safe and fun time! We're spending our in-between time working out some of the skills that were learned so that the September & November Palm Bay events will hopefully be able to show off some new Riflewomen!

I would also like to add my thanks to the instructors. I have enjoyed Appleseed with several of my sons, and now my wife has joined in the fun. Mrs. Beardimus came home and informed me that she "caught the bug" and has been dry firing with the hope of shooting a Rifleman score at the September Appleseed in Palm Bay.

I am so glad my family has found this "family" at Project Appleseed and I look forward to many more wonderful weekends!

That is great to hear.  I know that Mrs. Beardimus has the persistence, grit and determination to hit that rifleman score!!!
