FRUITLAND -- 2/26!!!

It was a fantastic weekend at the IBC with 10 dedicated volunteers—from AC to SI—coming together to sharpen our skills and strengthen our mission. A HUGE thank you to Mario and Shelly for hosting us on their incredible property; they were gracious hosts and set the stage for a productive and memorable event.

As always, when 10 Project Appleseed volunteers gather, the discussion is rich, the questions are thoughtful, and the learning runs deep. Every one of us walked away having honed our instructor skills and gained valuable insight to take back to our home ranges.

One of my favorite parts is the Sunday lunch history drill.  Thanks to everyone for doing their research and presenting some very interesting history!!

A special thank you to Mario and Nick for leading the Small Group breakouts, and to Shelly and Chuck for supporting the instruction throughout the weekend. It was so nice working with everyone.  The trip was absolutely worth it, and I'm already looking forward to the next one!

I almost forgot, another special thank you to Pixie who made sure everyone was comfortable and had an opportunity to pet her.  Prone is her favorite position.  All you have to do is look at her and she come right over to let you pet her.  She is SO SWEET!

We worked on modeling our prone position.  We discussed how you don't always see that shin parallel to the rifle, so we worked on ensuring we were modeling it the way we teach it.

I didn't get a chance to take photos, but I believe Glenn "FLawyer" is going to post some.  Thanks Glenn!!

It's not about perfection -- it's about progress!!

I LOVE this stuff!

"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again" Ronald Reagan

Such a great event!  We loved having everyone here.  I relayed everyone's appreciation to Pixie, our Appleseed Support Chihuahua.  She send all her love.

A big thank you to Pirategirl and Sea Sniper for their hospitality, their home was a perfect place for this event.
Thanks to all that attended, I hope you enjoyed the weekend as much as I did. You all did a great job and we appreciate you taking your time to polish your skills.
Thank Glen for your input, it was insightful and useful information.

What a fun and informative weekend that was! Thanks to Shelly and Mario for hosting us all!
And thank you Chuck and Kim for organizing the event! I know I learned a few things and got to practice plenty more. All the "students" put in a ton of great work too, keep it up guys!
I wish I had thought to grab more pictures- but all I have is this one of Pixie working on her prone position  ;D
"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." ― C. S. Lewis

Congratulations to the graduates of Fruitland 03-26! I look forward to seeing you on the line soon. Mario and Shelly are great hosts and there isn't a better location for an IBC. Appreciation for the instructors who joined in to make the groups work. Thanks to Kim and Chuck for making the trip to run the event. I hope to join you next time.
