Leesburg, FL AAR December 27-28, 2025

Ares Training Facility in Leesburg, FL has become synonymous with great shoots!  Thank you again goes out to our host range.  Without this facility, we wouldn't have the opportunity to have 12 souls learn more about their incredible history!  We had some beautiful Florida weather this weekend.  I can't believe it was as hot as it was in December, but the breeze was great!  The canopies provided by the instructors were a Godsend.  Speaking of instructors, I say we have the best in the nation!  I'm proud to report all the instructors shot score at this event.  Requalifying and proving they practice what they preach. 

We had 6 Trail Life and Heritage Girls on the line this weekend, and I tell you, MAN!  These kids?  The absolute best.  So many were repeats, and it showed with the scores!  Many are right on the cusp of that coveted Rifleman score!  Gavin, JP, Seth, Sam, Joel, Ben, EmmaBelle, and Mike ALL turned in Sharp Shooter Scores!!  Unreal that this was the first shoot for some!  Josiah was unable to return on Sunday from a scheduling conflict, but I know we will see him again on the line.  First time EVER shooting?  Turns in a 105 on Saturday.  OUTSTANDING.  Emily and Daniel struggled a bit on borrowed rifles, but still managed to turn in respectable scores Daniel almost doubling his score from a 62 to a 110 from Saturday to Sunday!  WHAT?!  Amazing improvement.  Emily?  This girl right her?  I can't wait to see what she will do when she gets her own rifle.  From a 84 to a 142?  Unbelievable!  Ed proved once again he knows VERY WELL what he is about with a consistent rifleman score with a center fire!  Orange hat sir?  LOL  I'm going to keep asking..

I am so proud of all of you, and I hope you join us again.  I want to be there when each of you get that patch!  What an honor to be a part of your journey.  Godspeed to you all.

What a great, safe, and fun event that was all around!
Thanks to all the shooters who had great attitudes and conduct all weekend, and thanks to all my fellow instructors for knocking it out of the park as always!
