This event was outstanding. The instructors were great. Teaching students that have never shoot a rifle before and at the end of day two they are Riflemen. We had 6 riflemen one shooting a 244. This was a Trail Life event and they invited American Heritage Girls. Most of the students were under the age of 15. The improvements from day one to day two would amaze you. Most of them stayed on the range over night and enjoyed talking and cooking over the fires. There was another shoot that happened at the same time and there students joined into all the fun. I want to thank all the border raiders from Florida the stories that were told and the teaching help me as much as the students. Just goes to show you even I can learn a few new things. The only picture I have is the one of our new Red Hat. We did enjoy shooting his old Orange hat. Thanks for all your hard work Recon82.20251025_103618.jpg

This was a great event!  I love working with the Trail Life, AHG kids and parents -- Such a pleasure!  Everyone was very attentive and safe as shown by the increasing scores with each AQT shot!  I saw so much progress made by everyone! 

Congrats to Recon82 for earning his Red Hat.  He did an amazing job!!  He about wore out Lucky3 who got to model all weekend for him -- good job Lucky3!  Congrats to Katharine for requalifying her Rifleman score AND taking an orange hat!!  Also Kate for earning her Rifleman patch at her very first Project Appleseed event!!!  What a family of fine shooters/instructors!!! (you too Bullfrog Bulldog)!   ;D

Thanks R-Mack for running such a great event and keeping things on-track.  It was a pleasure, as always, working with all of the instructors!

This event had a great vibe! I'm so glad I got to visit and take it all in. Congratulations to all the instructors and shooters. The Giddings family legend grows and grows!
