Dubuque Pistol Clinic, 12Jul2025

We had a great group of shooters turn out for the pistol clinic in Dubuque. The marksmanship started out great and got better throughout the day. On our first hits count target four people hit the button and two people cleared all targets. Four people ended up earning their Pistoleer™ patch.
Jack qualified four times with a high score of 230 shooting a 9mm with a red dot. Jane shot both a 9mm and a .22. With the .22 she earned a distinguished patch with a score of 238. Rich qualified three times, once with his .22 and a score of 233, and twice with his 9mm with a high score of 216. I believe Braden qualified with his .22, and then switched to a 9mm and qualified again with a 212. Several others were knocking at the door. It was great to see everyone doing so well.

Many thanks to Cort and Mark for making the long trek to Dubuque. They are excellent instructors! They also provided much needed assistance in getting everything setup before the shooters arrived.

I also need to thank the Dubuque Chapter of the Izaak Walton League for sharing their wonderful range with us.
