I have a takedown 10/22 without swivel studs. I just ordered the the appleseed sling connector (https://store.rwvaappleseed.com/product81.html) and them it occurred to me that doesn't help with the rear.

In appleseed I was taught to use the hasty in standing. So if you were shooting standing with only front sling attachment, would you just shoot without a sling, or would you wrap the strap around your bicep as we do for sitting and prone?

I shot score using a loop sling. Piece o' cake.

The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed -- where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once.

What Malabar said  ;)

Is hasty more stable in standing? Sure! But a loop will still provide stability. No sweat.
