Well we had another hot one here in Leesburg!  12 brave souls fought through the heat and the rain to show they know very well what they are about!  This group of shooters was amazing!  They were so receptive to instruction, so thankful for us being there for them, the instructors were overwhelmed with gratitude.  Now, on to our shooters.  In no particular order, let's start with Chuck.  Chuck doubled his score from Saturday to Sunday, even managing to get out of bootcamp in his first Appleseed!  WOOHOO!!!  Chuck we are so proud.  Ahmet revealed himself as our newest Rifleman!  Huzzah!  I can't wait to see you at the next one!  Mekalah, we missed you on Sunday, but I get it!  I'm so glad you got to come out and witness Nick in all his glory!  Please come to another shoot.  I'd love to see you shoot score!  Mike!  We missed you a lot on Sunday, but when you are healed, you need to come back and shoot for score.  Your AQT was already a 135 on your first try ever, even being injured!  Next one is your my friend.  James!  Even with a rifle that was mean to you, you shot a weekend high of 150!  WHAT?!  Crazy cool.  So glad we got to see you, and I know you have ranges closer to you, but don't forget Leesburg loves you!  I'll see you at the next one.  BRANDON!  Brandon is my Ohio brother from another mother.  This was not his first time, and boy it showed!  Impressive scores, fantastic attitude, and Weekend high of 202! You just gotta stop helping Jon.  Speaking of Jon, ummmm WHAT???  a stunning near victory of a 208!  The stress monster loved your squeezes, but you gotta get over that crushing 208 to that Rifleman's score of 210.  Steve, not too far behind you at a even 200!  I would love to be there when you both hit that Rifleman's score.  If I'm not there, I want to see pics!  Wherever you go to shoot an Appleseed, us shoot bosses reach out to each other.  Tell them Pirategirl sent ya!  Gary and his lovely daughter joined us, and the competition between the 2 was fierce!  LOL I love to see friendly rivalry and you 2 made that father daughter bond magic shine this weekend.  Kristen you are an awesome girl, and you keep shooting like you did, and I will put an orange hat on your head before you know it!  Alex!  We sure missed you on Sunday, you and your 9mm brass!  LOL I was ready to give you that loaner, but we all understand.  ;) I will see you soon my friend.  I know you can't stand leaving it at a 169.  You want that patch!  It's waiting for you.  Daniel!  You brought us James, and we love you for it.  You aren't going to rest on your heels with a 160 are you?  I didn't think so.  Now, get thee to another Appleseed!

Can't thank you and the rest of the volunteers enough for such a great weekend!  I can't wait to come back (and bring more bar jokes)!

Wow, a huge thank you to you and the entire team for putting so much effort into making this event happen! It was incredible to hear those untold stories of the Revolutionary War, and getting to shoot with a sling was such an awesome experience! I learned so much in just these two days—I can't wait for the next event! Already signed up for the Known Distance event in Orlando.

Not Sure

Well done ya'll.  Huzzah from even further south.

A majority of the photos in those ZIP files are 320x200 pixels. Any chances to get them bigger?

This was my third as the Cap'n Pirate did allude. What a great group. The students were all upbeat and ready for the next course of fire; but those Hats — they were some of the best I've seen. Three AQTs in three counties spanning 1800 miles and this cadre was tier one. JC/DC is a priceless asset to our community with his boooooooooooooming line commands. Sea Sniper is a firm and patient presence and he knows that of which he speaks. 6x is for the birds, 3x is for the win (202 anyways). The Leesburg crew is the real deal. I will be back but will most likely see Long Rifleman and n Wilmington in April. Come north, my tropical Shingle Shooters, but dress warm. Much love to you all. Now, to get back to my 1784th click of this Bic...squeeeeeeeeeeeeeze.

Mozambique and AdvanceSpark welcome!  Im so glad to see you on here.  Yes, I can send pics bigger, but not on here.  We are limited on file size here.  We were so excited to see you guys shoot this weekend!  I'm looking forward to the next event already!  Keep squeeeeeeezing the Bic baby!  Trigger control, trigger control, trigger control!

A big thank you to all who attended. You all had incredible attitudes which made it easy to be an instructor all weekend! I'm looking forward to seeing you all again and having those scores go up.
Our thanks goes to Ares Training Facility for being so supportive of Appleseed.
And, as always, thank you to Shoot Boss Shelly for running such a fun and safe event.

Thank you so much Pirategirl, and everyone who volunteered this weekend to teach us all about our history our heritage, and how to shoot a rifle. We hope to come back for another session soon, and between now and then I hope to practice what you taught us. you taught us so much, and you did a great job of teaching it. I need to teach my finger not to dance, and countless other things.

Pirategirl

Migranteng welcome to the forum!  I am thrilled you were happy with the shoot, and I am even more thrilled that you learned something!  The instructors can't stop talking about how great all you guys were.  See ya real soon my friend.

Thanks to the students for having open minds and positive attitudes.  Thanks for the volunteers who also have great attitudes, history and lots o laughs. I hope everyone had as good a time as I did.

What a great weekend that was, thank you students for being as receptive and good spirited as you were. And thank you fellow instructors (and IITs) for running such a smooth event. We even beat the time monkey a few times!
Hope to see you all at the next one! (And students, try and bring a friend or family member along next time, remember the 7th step in your handbook we gave you  ;) )
"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." ― C. S. Lewis

It's not about perfection -- it's about progress!!

I LOVE this stuff!

"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again" Ronald Reagan
