We had twelve shooters come to the line this last weekend to learn marksmanship and to celebrate our history as Americans.  They were attentive, eager, and a joy to work with.

Congratulations to Kyle and Adam who scored rifleman for the first time and then proceeded to demonstrate their skill by scoring rifleman multiple times afterward.  Well done to both of you!  We had several other shooters on the verge of scoring rifleman and I want to encourage them to persist in their pursuit of a rifleman score!  Remember: a rifleman persists in spite of all challenges.  A special shout out to a couple of our shooters who experienced personal difficulties and some frustrations due to equipment issues but came to the line every time for every course of fire in spite of it all.  You were an inspiration to us all in terms of determination and persistence.

I want to thank the Nappanee Conservation Club for hosting our event.  We always look forward to being on the range in Nappanee.  You guys are amazing!  Thank you also to my instructors who gave up their weekends and made this weekend the success it was.  It would not have happened without you!

It was a great weekend!  It was good to see some returning shooters and meet new ones.  It was especially nice to see folks' progress.  The weather didn't turn out too bad either, ending with sunshine when we were expecting a weekend full of rain.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful event. My brother-in-law and I drove down from Grand Rapids, MI to participate and it was honestly everything I hoped it would be and more. I had such an amazing time learning from everyone involved on how to shoot a rifle, but also I left with a better appreciation and understanding of the events that happened to start the revolutionary war and how they should mean to me as an American Citizen. Posterity.

I started Saturday with an AQT score of 119 and ended with a score of 186, I was so ecstatic. I cannot wait to participate in another event next year and build upon the skills that I learned this weekend, it may take a couple of tries but I definitely want to earn that patch :). Thank you again, you guys made this event amazing!
