Phoenix! 9-24!!!!  This was one of the best IBCs I've had the privlege of attending!

Seventeen Patriots gathered together to learn from each other and become more effective instructors.  It was fantastic to see so many new orange hats joining us.  What a privilege it is to work with each of you in the beginning of your Appleseed careers!

After some introductions, we quickly jumped into instruction... learning about the Mission of Appleseed and our part in it.  There were plenty of good questions as we moved through the day.  Lunch came quicker than anyone expected and we talked about telling passionate and effective history.  Following lunch - THANK YOU RANGE MOM! -  we got back to teaching marksmanship.

The weather was brutal staying at least 100 degrees most of the day... and we wrapped up when the pop up sandstorms began!

It was tough finding a restaurant for meals... so we gathered in a hotel lobby and ordered carry out.  went there for an excellent dinner in a friendly atmosphere.

Sunday morning came and we got back to work.  We broke into small groups and did more practical exercises.  Special time was set aside for having a plan to teach Talking Targets & Inches-Minutes-Clicks with simplicity and precision.  At lunch, we jumped into our History drill and each student presented their history lesson.  I was especially proud of all the orange hats.  You guys did an excellent job!

After lunch, we dedicated time to diagnosing shooter errors and coaching on the line.  Sadly, the weekend had to come to a close.

I want to thank Maha, Desert_Diver, HNHArmory, and Mrs. Smith all for volunteering to serve as small group leaders during our weekend.  Arizona and New Mexico are blesssed with leaders like you.

Welcome to the 4 new volunteers who joined us from NM and AZ!

To everyone who attended - great job and congratulations!  Keep dryfiring your marksmanship and history instruction!  That's the key to being part of the finest cadre of marksmanship instructors in the industry!

best,
MO

Outstanding work, all. Congratulations and THANKS to Mrs. Smith, Mahamotorworks and RangeMom.
The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed -- where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once.

-- Justice Alex Kozinski, US 9th Circuit Court, 2003

CONGRATS Y'all!  Looks like you had a great event!!!!
It's not about perfection -- it's about progress!!

I LOVE this stuff!

"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again" Ronald Reagan
