What a great weekend for an Appleseed 25-meter event! While it was a little on the warm side, it could have been worse. Working out in the open, we were fortunate enough to have three pop-ups to provide a bit of relief. A large tree provided ample opportunity for shade during the instruction sections, and the clubhouse was a bit cooler, although it was not air-conditioned.

We started the weekend with the foundational basics, as it is difficult to build a Rifleman if you don't master those.

We opened the class with a discussion and demonstration of the steady-hold factors, the six steps to firing the shot.

By the end of the event, a new Rifleman had been discovered, as well as a man who new what he was about, able to clear the Redcoat. We even awarded the little seen but highly coveted "Appleseed" pin, suitable for a hat or jacket.
