A Known Distance event on April 19th proper has become an Alabama tradition.  There's no better way to spend the day than with Liberty-loving friends!

We were blessed with cool spring weather for our group of 9 shooters that hailed from Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee. 

A one-day KD is necessarily fast paced, so after some academics we moved into a few sighter groups and shooting AQTs.  The day wouldn't have been possible without Google, Willociraptor, SignalShooter42, and our own Alabama State Coordinator - AnthonyB.

As a visiting instructor, anthonyB awarded SignalShooter an Alabama state patch.  HardHolder, who was joining us as a shooter, received his 10 event pin. 

Lunch was spectacular with burgers, hotdogs, and brats generously donated by a friend of the program.  AnthonyB stepped up as grillmeister and nobody went hungry.  Of course, we shared a bit of history at lunch.

It wouldn't be an April 19th event without our Memorial Volley.  Range owner, Don, came out to join us for to remember the fallen from 249 years ago.

Congratulations to the new KD Rifleman:  Major Tom!

Congratulations to the requalifying KD Riflemen:  Roswell, Hardholder, Axeman, and KellyMtnView!

Like we do every year, instructors and shooters signed a copy of the Bloody Butchery poster.  It will join other signed copies hanging in the clubhouse.

Don and Matt at Hobbs Island Shooting Range (HISR) have been great partners since the range was opened.  Thank you so much, guys!

Thanks for another great Patriots Day shoot with some pretty awesome instructors, shooters, and range guys. Lunch is always appreciated too.
