Waco had a successful shoot with 19 shooters.  The weather was typical for the Spring - cool with some rain.  On the first day we had 3 shooters requalify, with one of those shooters achieving a 249.  The second day we had 3 requalifications, with another shooter, shooting distinguished.  We had a fourth shooter qualify for his first patch.

The instructors provided excellent training throughout the weekend.

Very enjoyable weekend!  My older two teenagers achieved new high scores on the AQT, both above 230 (with scoped rifles). My 12 year old turned in a 208. She'll earn her patch very soon!

I LOVE this stuff!

"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again."  Ronald Reagan

Yup. It was a fun weekend and everybody seemed to have a good time and learned a lot while doing so.

It was funny when Dan was doing the 3rd Strike. It started raining so hard you couldn't hear him talk. It took awhile to finish that strike. At least the rain seemed to cooperate in that it was during strikes when it would pour.
