Another weekend well spent for the cause of liberty. We had 18 young patriots who were eager to hear our history and learn our heritage. This was our first event for the Civil Air Patrol Cadets in our area but hopefully not the last. We started the day with rain that came and went throughout the day, but had little effect on our goal. We had a very slow day one due to some unforeseen obstacles but we persisted. Day two was much better and we progressed quickly through instruction, getting back on track.
Although we did not reveal any new rifleman we saw some impressive improvement. I allowed the Cadets to shoot an NRA qualification target late afternoon so they could earn their marksmanship patch. I am happy to say they all earned the patch, so I will take that as a win.
I want to thank Escambia River Gun Club for their continued support.
I would also like to thank the instructors for braving the rain and the mud, you are the best!

What a great event!!!  I was honored to help out with this event for the Civil Air Patrol.  What a great group of Patriots!  These youngsters know what they are about!  I was very impressed with their attention to the history and instruction and their application and progress made with the instruction.  They all made great progress and shot within the Marksman or Sharpshooter range.  This was an amazing group of cadets!!!

It's not about perfection -- it's about progress!!

I LOVE this stuff!

"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again" Ronald Reagan
