Cadre, it is my sad duty to inform you of the passing of Bill 'sgtmarine' Anderson.

Sgtmarine was a long-time supporter of Project Appleseed in NY and Vermont.  His tenure as a volunteer in the northeast region predates my own by several years, but I was fortunate to have the opportunity to spend some time with him at our shoots in the Adirondacks the past two summers.  He will be missed.

If you have any photos, stories, or anecdotes to share about Bill please do so.  We will be working to put together a Patriots In Memoriam post to honor his contributions to Project Appleseed.

Bill attended several shoots in NH, sorry to hear of his passing

Bill attended a number of shoots at Proctor Fish and Game Club in VT in the past.
Usually with his friends Gunny and Sherri, exceptional marksmen all.
He had just taken the orange hat the last time I saw him.
He will be missed.

Bill was a good man who knew well what he was about. It was an honor to share a firing line with him. Let's make some more Riflemen for him to fill the gap.

Bill was a staple at almost every Appleseed shoot I've attended. His interactions with Gunny and the rest of the SaraSpa crew brought smiles to all of our faces. His presence will be missed. Rest in peace, friend.

Feeling pride that I got to know him.  Great picture, Cannibal.

I'm so sorry to hear of Bills passing. My sympathies and prayers to his family and loved ones.
Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property... Horrid mischief would ensue were the law-abiding deprived of the use of them.
