Missoula, MT AAR Sept 16-17, 2023 25 Meter Event

Thank you to Western Montana Fish & Game Association for a fantastic facility for our Appleseed.  Special kudos to Paul the Range Master for his exemplary assistance and oversight, thank you Paul!

We had beautiful September Montana weather with cool mornings and hot sunny afternoons.  We Montanans felt the heat but fatigue wasn't a huge issue though it did take its toll.

We had one local shooter who is with us most of the time and we love having Erik and his persistence. 

The other five shooters all came from hours away to attend the weekend.  The excitement and dedication was noticeable.  Our young married couple Tanya and Darin were super into learning new techniques.  Thanks for bringing the M14 Darin, always nice to have a real battle rifle on the line!  Tanya was a bit of a ringer with her standing position performance.

The father and son team, Connor and John, pushed through the weekend and did some fine shooting while John never admitted to having fun.  John kept shooting and insisted he do the same course of fire as everyone else which means I really think he liked it.  It was long hours of concentration and hard work for a young man, John showed his mettle and resembled a true young patriot.  Connor, you should be proud.

While no one qualified this round I know they will all be back and continue their Rifleman's Journey.  Attitudes were great, enthusiasm high, what great teachable attitudes, thank you shooters!

Thank you all for being great shooters and making me look good for my Shoot Boss debut!
