Eight patriots turned out to the Noller Farm in Stockton, Illinois to learn rifle marksmanship and history of April 19th, 1775. The weather on Saturday was quite nice, but it turned nasty on Sunday with rain early in the morning, followed by temperatures in the low to mid 50's and 20-30 mph winds the entire day. But that didn't keep our patriots down. Several showed great improvement in their marksmanship skills with one shooter re-qualifying as rifleman, a couple others knocking at the door with scores in the upper 180's and lower 190's, and one new rifleman with a score of 213. Congratulations Mark!

We also got the chance to shoot some steel targets at 100, 200, 300, & 500 yards. Rifles included an M1 Garand, a couple of AR's, and an M1A Scout. It was pretty easy to hear the steel ringing at the 100 and 200 yard distances but the wind was strong and to our backs so it was difficult to determine if anyone made hits on the 300 and 500 yard targets. There was no chance to see where the bullets hit as the targets were along a fence line with plenty of weeds all around so there wasn't any dirt to kick up.

Many thanks to Tom Noller for sharing his land with us and for having the range mowed and ready to go. Many thanks also to Dave and Dean for making the trek to Stockton to help instruct. You guys did a great job!

Thanks to Rex and crew for a fine weekend of marksmanship training and history.  Was great seeing Jackson and Eli working hard thru the weekend developing their shooting skills.  Was especially envious of the number of shooters using iron sights-a major challenge for me.

Thanks to Tom Noller for providing a great site for this event.

Thanks to all for a great weekend. Thanks to Rex and Dean for helping this first time IIT along. It was great to see the eagerness of the students and the great improvements made.

All were impressed and amazed by Rex's organization skills, and the addition of the talking target redcoat cookies was a great surprise.
