There's a few people that I've chased down at events, in parking lots and at grocery stores to get them to be part of Project Appleseed. I'm proud to say those people have stepped up beyond my wildest expectations and are people that I would gladly follow into...well whatever. I'm proud to work along side of them, to have them work with me, and for me to work for them at events. And more importantly, I'm proud that I get to know them and, hopefully, be amongst those people they would call their friends.
Captain America is one of those people.
For the last 2 (maybe 3??) I've acted...poorly...as the interim State Coordinator for Indiana. In that time, we've grown...grown the cadre in the state. Added ranges. Started rebuilding the team and a vibrant Appleseed culture where people WANT to help us grow. But there is SO. MUCH. MORE. to do. So much more...
I'm absolutely tickled to announce that Captain America (aka Chris Evans) has agreed to take the helm for the state. Anyone that has been SC realizes that SC only means you are amplifying the accomplishments of the people that actually do the work. But with Chris' care and guidance, I know this can be only the beginning of the rebirth of the great state of Indiana. In addition to being 107% dedicated to the mission of Appleseed, Chris is joined in the Appleseed family by his Red Hat daughter Pepper Spray and his Appleseed supportive family in NW Indiana.
Please welcome Captain America as the new State Coordinator in Indiana!
