Well another great shoot in the books here in Kerrville.
The morning started off well and the weather was very nice. It was 55 in the am and 70s that afternoon. We had 24 shooters on the line 10 of which were youth. After the safety brief and introductions we posted the Red Coat target and started shooting. :snipersmi Everything went great and we had some fine shooters, several were riflemen already and were here to enjoy the shoot and sharpen their skills. But we had our work cut out for us, especially with the young guns.
Sighting the rifles completed and history told we continued with the training and the shooters were really involved and had lots of interest in what we were telling them. At the end of the first day we saw marked improvement in the Red Coat target! We had time left to post an AQT.  And Conrad one of our riflemen shot an impressive 246! He said that he had been practicing and it showed! Along with 3 other riflemen  requals.  :F
Day two started off cold 49dg and windy with gusts to 35mph! And it did not let up all day. We finally had to take down to pop ups to save them. But that did not discourage our shooters one Bit! They hung in there and fought it out. Its realy hard to hold true in that kind of wind but they all did very well and knocked out several AQTs. Kayla was so close with a 206! In that wind too! Lots of others were in the upper 190s and were excited about coming back. There was a huge improvement in the Red Coat target also which meant that we were getting through to them.
We Also completed our April 19 salute Volley. All present were awed by the experience and the minute of silence following was beautiful.
Once again a huge thanks to Hill Country Shooting Sports for allowing us to use the range, and thanks to all of our instructors for volunteering their time and effort to a help the cause of Liberty. Peter congrats on making Red Hat! Well done and your hard work shows. Gysel way to go stepping up and being Line Boss. And Kayla for helping get everyone signed in. Jeremy, Jerry, Mark, Alexy and Chad for being there and working so hard. Roger for your example and anchoring our line.
We have a great Cadre' here and growing. Having a sold out shoot is inspiring. Thank you to our leaders who inspire us to do what we do.
We in America do not have government by the majority-we have government by the majority who participate......All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.

Thank you A-Lister and GenX Minuteman for posting these photos and for your time and effort putting together a great Appleseed for us in Kerrville!
I had a great time, learned a lot, and found out that even though my last Appleseed was Apr. 27-28, 2019 with Steve's group in College Station (shout out to Sir Not Appearing In This Film) I could still not only shoot a rifleman's score but achieve Distinguished Rifleman! I honestly didn't know that was a thing until last weekend :) Thank you Conrad for raising the bar and making me want to shoot better.
Thank you and congratulations to Peter, you a good teacher. Alexy and the rest of the group made for a fun weekend.
I won't be waiting three more years to do this again!
