Another WOW shoot is in the books in Annapolis...  Sat saw 11 students join us on the line... All students progressed well, and safely, with a mixture of both new and repeat students on the line...  Special THANKS to creative directors for the event (Agent711 & Liberty Boy) who went full tilt with period costume, patriot music, and a plethora of special Patriots Day special events and history.. Severe storms caused an earlier than normal ending, but was the right call...   Sunday saw all students return, for the AQT grind.. By days end 7 students earned Riflemen, including two first time attendees... Of special note was Monica, a new shooter, who ended the day a Rifleman and with a cleaned redcoat!  Many thanks to all the students and vols for a safe and great weekend on the line!

I agree with BeSwift - what a weekend! I always learn something new each class and leave a better shooter. The NPOA exercise on the 2nd day was a nice way to bring it all together. It didn't turn out too badly for me and unlike some of my brothers (always a competition) I hit the paper. Lastly, the sound effects by DJ Liberty Boy were a nice touch!

Huzzah!

Special thanks to all our participants and volunteers for joining us to honor the sacrifices of John Parker and so many others.  I also wanted to again congratulate all our shooters for a very successful shoot and making this special commemorative Appleseed a very enjoyable experience. I had the honor of presenting a 50 shoot pin to Why Won and 25 shoot pins to Liberty Boy and Kniwolf. Also during this shoot ProgressNotPerfection completed her instructor qualification and will be donning her Red Hat at the next shoot. But we did not stop there; Liberty Boy completed his IIT4 and Phoebe completed her IIT3, so we look forward to these two earning their Red Hats over the next few months.

I am proud to be a part of Maryland's Riflemen. So please join me in three hearty cheers in honor of all of these volunteers' great work...

Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah!

I see there was a southpaw shooting a tube fed lever action on the line. That's a great Patriot stepping up for a challenge.

Being tube fed AND lever action, was he still required to eject the 3rd round in lieu of a magazine change?

Agent711

Did not require the third round ejection. Enough of a challenge just contending with the lever action. It was the shooters own favorite rifle and he had a blast learning the fundamentals with it.
