What a delightful weekend for an Appleseed held at the Flagler Gun and Archery Club in Bunnell, Florida. This club has been a strong supporter of Appleseed for several years. Thank you Flagler Gun Club.

Saturday started out a bit cool but the afternoon rain forecasted never materialized. Sunday morning was quite "airish" and, despite the sun, the north wind kept it feeling cool all day.

We had a great turnout with 18 shooters showing up for the event. Among them were five junior participants receiving their patches, two of which were 9 years old! Are most distant traveler, Jonathan, made the 3-1/2 hour drive from West Palm Beach on only 3 hours sleep and turned in a respectable 183 Sharpshooter score.

All of the shooters made significant progress over the two days showing that persistence pays! In fact, everyone attending attained at least a rank of Marksman (6) with quite a few Sharpshooters (8) in addition to our Rifleman. Great shooting!

Three Riflemen received their patches over the weekend with Nico and Aaron shooting 214 and 212 respectively on Saturday and Fernando making it happen with a 215 on Sunday. Huzzah!

Our three Riflemen participated in a 100 yard KD held by instructor FLawyer on Sunday. Indeed, learning to shoot at the 25 Meter range does translate into being able to shoot at much longer distances.

No event would be possible without the support of our experienced cadre. Our instructor group has provided their skills and knowledge at more than 530 Appleseed events! Thank you again to 9mm4545 (Bruce), RamboGranny (Janet), FLawyer (Glenn), TomM1thumb (Tom B.), edree (Ed) and HenryBowman47 (Tom W.) for all your efforts.

You have all paid us back and make it worthwhile for all of us to continue our efforts in the Appleseed Program.

Remember to keep practicing at home by dry firing and hopefully we'll see you at our next event!

All the instructors were all over 60 years old, the only the IIT was under 40. but there was some great instruction given. One great event.
