Good Ol' Bay 7 at the venerable Clinton County Farmers and Sportsman's Association range in Wilmington, OH has once again lived up to it's reputation as the finest Rifleman factory in the known universe!

Eighteen proud Americans graced the line early Saturday morning for the unique opportunity to contribute to the war effort against the forces of evil trying to rip our great country apart! The opening Redcoat target showed that we had plenty of work to do so we dove into the gravel head first and got to it. The firehose was opened and the floggings continued through the morning hours as the perfect October air made us grateful to be alive. Some stirring history for lunch and more gravel time led us to the inevitable first AQT of the weekend late in the afternoon.

Jake and Eric hammered out re-qualifications with 215 and 210 respectively and Bryan M. became the worlds newest Rifleman with a respectable 214!

The Redcoats were shivering in their boots as our crack team of shooters engaged their line of battle to close day one. Bryan M. and his boy Joe along with Brandon S. put them in their place as they cleared 'em all!

Sunday was another perfect day for an Appleseed as we took to Good Ole Bay 7 once again. A quick review of safety and instruction and it was into the grinder. More Redcoats fell victim to American Marksmanship as Alissa and Bryan M. cleared a couple. It was then that the fruits of our instruction paid off as each round of AQTs generated more Riflemen than we could keep track of! (Well almost.)

Bryan M. topped his previous with a 216. Brandon S. showed everyone up with a weekend high 234 and Alissa stole the show sneaking in with a 210. She was ceremoniously welcomed into the fold with a shower from the Old North Bridge- A classic New England Baptism!

Our next AQT had Dustin showing us how it's done with a 213. Soon after, Kyle answered the challenge with a 215 and Bryan Mc. lit it up with a 215 himself.

All in all, Six new Riflemen and 2 official re-quals dwindled the patch supply down to nearly nuttin' so we split into teams for a rousing team drill. Everything we had and all we could afford flew down range in a matter of minutes. When the smoke cleared Team Revere took possession of the Fabulous Prizes of Unspeakable Value and we posted the final Redcoats. It didn't take long before two more fell as Jake and Dustin wiped them clean and we called it a day.

There was so much improvement amongst all our shooters and so many show promise for the future. Garrett was making strides toward the prize as were T.J. and Teresa. Eli proved that he could handle a rifle and so did Anthony, Tasha and Alex. Joe H gave it everything he had and Terry stuck with it until the very end. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the line soon!

Special thanks to the members of the Greatest Rifle Marksmanship Instructor Corps ever assembled: RedLeg, Goodoldfriend, Owl1, JaysHoneyBunny, CarrollMS and CheriesGeek. What a team!

And with grateful souls we thank the members and board of Clinton County Farmers and Sportsman's Association for another spectacular year of Appleseeds. "The Greatest Range in all of Appleseed"

We'll see you next year!
Do thou Great LIBERTY inspire our Souls- And make our Lives in thy Possession happy- Or, our Deaths glorious in thy just Defense.

"Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword because the whole body of the people are armed"- Noah Webster A.D.1787

". . . They promised perpetual peace.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons,
that the wars of the tribes would cease.
But when we disarmed They sold us and
delivered us bound to our foe,

said: "Stick to the Devil you know."

Outstanding experience at my first Project Appleseed shoot. Certainly won't be my last.

Excellent instruction, captivating history, and exceptional camaraderie.

A big thank you to all the instructors for their time and talent. And thank you to the Clinton County Farmers and Sportsman's Association for their generosity and support. Fantastic facility!
