The American Revolution Institute is having an event for the ladies.

Attendable both in person and virtually, there will be a panel discussion about the challenges women had to confront during the Revolutionary War.  It should be quite interesting!

It will take place October 18, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, EST.  The discussion itself is expected to last about 1 hour.

"The Revolutionary War dramatically affected the speed and nature of broader social, cultural and political changes, including shaping the place and roles of women in society. Whether loyalist or patriot, indigenous or immigrant, enslaved or slave-owning, going willingly into a battle or responding when war came to their doorsteps, women participated in the conflict in complex and varied ways that reveal the critical distinctions and intersections of race, class and allegiance that defined the era. This panel will consist of a panel of contributors to the recently publishedWomen Waging War in the American Revolution, and will be lead by Dr. Holly Mayer, professor emerita of history at Duquesne University and editor of the anthology."

You can have peace, or you can have freedom. Don't ever count on having both at once. - Robert A. Heinlein

I am currently reading a book called "Women Heroes of the American Revolution" by Susan Casey in 2015.  It contains stories of 20 women of all backgrounds and ages during the revolutionary war period.  I was the one who put together the stories of women during the revolutionary war to help with LadySeed history.  Some of the stories in this book I haven't come across before so its been a very interesting read so far, I highly recommend this as a quick read.
