AAR- Waco, TX - Feb 19-20, 2022

Another fine event at my home away from home in Waco.

It was another private event for a Trail Life group out of the DFW area. This time quite a few of the adults participated too. And shot Rifleman class.

We had 26 attendees altogether.

I was concerned at first since I thought it might just be me and two other instructors. And lo and behold the next thing I knew we had 7 instructors.

Shooting was much improved - about tripled. One redcoat cleared on Saturday and 4 cleared on Sunday afternoon. And 400 yards shooters went from 1 to 4. With 8 shingles hit on Sunday afternoon too. Not bad.

Weather was pretty nice and cooperated. And we got 5 riflemen. Trail Life is really getting involved with Appleseed here in Texas. Thanks to gugisman. We even picked up another instructor last week who is a Trail Life leader. I think that's 3 TL instructors now.

TxJim had his son and grandson out too. And both of them shot rifleman. So the whole family is now Riflemen. LOL - Jim was a Sargent Major in the Army and pulled some time as a Drill Instructor. I can just imagine Jim teaching his son prone. Walk up to him, kick him in the ribs, and say 'stop jerking that trigger.' Well he was a DI back before the Army was kinder and gentler. No Stress Cards back then.

All in all it was a good weekend.
