As the saying goes, "Riflemen Persist."

Despite the impending Snowmageddon that shut down schools, interstates, and had all kinds of normal people runnin' and duckin' for cover, nearly 20 Riflemen from Virginia and Maryland converged on Rivanna Rifle & Pistol Club, Charlottesville VA for a weekend of learning & refreshing our teaching craftwork, as well as great fellowship.  The event brought together instructors with a broad range of experience, from very seasoned grey hats to several new IITs, and everything in between!

Though the event could have easily been cancelled, many insisted that we make the most of the weekend before the storm rolled in on Sunday morning, so we quick-changed the syllabus to focus presenting our history, with lessons delivered from our most seasoned (10+ year) storytellers as well as our resident Drama major.  The cherries on top of it all were the short presentations given by the attendees.  It was invigorating to see how far our Red Hat Instructors had come since their IIT days, and it was absolutely awesome to watch our new IITs in action - I'm looking forward to listening to them deliver the Three Strikes in the near future!

Special shout-outs go to Messer, our AppleCore club sponsor, for making the clubhouse available, and to BrotherPilot who, though not technically the Shoot Boss, led the foundational planning and logistics for the event.  Lastly, a shout-out to everybody that showed up - you could have easily stayed home and nobody would have blamed you, but you showed up anyway, and flexed amazingly well when we blew up the syllabus. #IAO

Thanks again for making this event what it was.

OBTW - save the end of August for our next go at a full IBC.  We'll make it worth your while to come back... :) ;)

Teaching liberty is the secret sauce of Appleseed , history is the tool we use to do that.
I have come here to chew gum and teach riflemen the art of shooting one hole groups and I'm all out of bubblegum.

It was a good thing we cancelled the Sunday event, the snow made it dangerous to get to/from the range that day.

RRPC is happy to support Project Appleseed - looking forward to seeing y'all on the range.
