Marksmanship and Heritage were in abundance during another great Appleseed weekend in Bunnell. Joe (aka Planeman) did a nice job and his training to be a shoot boss was completed with flying colors. Congratulations on a well earned promotion! Our students were able to learn and improve by leaps and bounds and by the end on Sunday we saw some very impressive shooting. A big Huzzah goes to Maribel for shooting the high score for the weekend and earning a new title of Rifleman. "Shoot like a girl, if you can!" Josh showed that he hasn't forgotten how and neatly requalified on the AQT. Well done, sir! I am going to let my fellow instructors chime in and I do want to hear from everyone there. We need some pictures so if you got them, share them. As always, my profound gratitude to all of the instructors that made this possible.
The American Constitution is remarkable for its simplicity; but can only suffice a people habitually correct in their actions, and would be utterly inadequate to the wants of a different nation.  Change the domestic habits of the Americans, their religious devotion, and their high respect for morality, and it will not be necessary to change a single letter in the Constitution in order to vary the whole form of their government. - Francis Grund 1837

Wow!  One heck of a weekend!  Amazing weather and the icing on the cake was the beautifully manicured Flagler Gun club range.  What a personal privilege and honor to work with and be amongst such a dedicated group of students and instructors!  With each volley, you could literally see the "aha!" moments in each student.  As the target groupings got smaller those smiles lit up the already beautiful day!

A well-deserved "HUZZAH!" to Maribel for coming with purpose and mission to seek the coveted Rifleman patch.  Her perseverance showed as she inched her way into the riflemen's bubble to meet that goal!  Also, to Josh, for requalifying on the AQT.  For he proved without hesitation that what is learned deeply can be recalled when needed.  Congratulations to both of you.

Many of the other students overcame challenges and a few were just dancing on the edge of getting there as well.  Nicco, continue practicing what you learned, and I know in short order, we'll be seeing soon your picture with a rifleman patch.

My thanks to all who helped make this weekend a reality, with my sincerest gratitude to those that helped fulfill the next step in my personal journey for the mission of Project Appleseed.  I couldn't have been blessed with a more dedicated group of instructors and an amazing grouping of students with such willingness to learn.

It's not about perfection -- it's about progress!!

I LOVE this stuff!

"Perhaps you and I have lived with this miracle too long to be properly appreciative. Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again" Ronald Reagan

It was a great weekend, challenging and inspiring. Congratulations to Maribel for being a new rifleman and to Joe for his new green hat. As a member of the South Florida Cadre this will only make us so much stronger. Thank you to the instructors who came to help. I learned several new ideas to improve my own instruction.

Looking forward to our next challenges. Huzzah!!

What a wonderful group of students displaying terrific teaching attitudes! Improvements seen all around, and Maribel did an excellent job of "shooting like a girl".😆 ðŸ'

Years ago 9mm4545, Smoak, and myself from our neck of the woods along with several other instructors around the state over the years traveled many miles to the first class Hollywood range in South FL. The dream was to develop a self supporting cadre who would bring other students and instructors to Appleseed down south furthering the message of Liberty.

Watching the teamwork of Wendy and Joe was evidence of how the group down south is not only doing that, but bringing in new ranges as well. Huzzah! Watching the fine instruction by Wendy and the well deserved "crowning" of Joe with a shiny new green hat brought very happy tears indeed!
Our dearly beloved by all, too soon departed Smoak was truly missed and Joe brought cookies to share in his honor.
