The day started out chilly. It was a brisk 30 degrees when the instructors first gathered, but we had eight brave patriots arrive to join us!

We started in the warm cabin with an inspirational history of the Wears Valley Ranch by none other than its founder, Pastor Jim Wood. If you aren't familiar with the ranch, I encourage you to check out their website here: https://wvr.org/. What a blessed place this is!

After that, we moved to opening remarks, strike one, and then safety. We then headed to the range and opened up the firehose of marksmanship instruction, covering the  tripod of marksmanship (six steps, NPOA, and proper positions). After we shot our first squares, it was time for lunch. During lunch, we heard the second strike and did a brief block on KD and invited the shooters to check out the schedule for future KD opportunities.

After lunch, we covered talking targets, IMC, and made some adjustments. Then we covered the seated positions and followed up with a mag change drill. Somewhere in the afternoon, we worked in the third strike of the match. Soon it was time for the first AQT. We sprinkled standing and transition instructions in between stages tp finish it out. While no new riflemen were revealed, we saw wonderful improvement in everyone's marksmanship skills. Huzzah!

We didn't have time for the afternoon redcoat (it gets dark early now), but sent the shooters home with a few extra targets to practice on their own in hopes that they make plans to join us soon for another Project Appleseed Clinic.

Thanks to all of the shooters who attended; without you, we would have no reason to be here. We hope to see you on the Appleseed trail again!

If anyone has pictures they would like to add to this thread, feel free to post them up!

I have come here to chew gum and teach riflemen the art of shooting one hole groups and I'm all out of bubblegum.
