Two point/CW sling for Mossberg 702 as LTR?

Hello All,
There was another thread about the Mossberg 702 as a Liberty Training Rifle. I bought one, and like it, but the rear of the stock is definitely not heavy enough for a standard sling swivel attachment. I know some used  bolts or otherwise beefed this up.

I was reading in one of Jeff Cooper's books about the old British 2 point sling system-The foreward swivel in standard position and the rear attachment just ahead of the magazine. Cooper dubbed this the CW system after the man who showed it to him. He claimed it was as fast as the hasty sling, but nearly as solid as looping up.

I have never used this system. Has anyone else? If so, is it worth my time to experiment with?

For shooting, all you will need is a forward swivel.

The rear swivel is only needed for carrying.

My shooting sling is a 1907 sling, and I leave the back part off the sling, just the front loop.
They have men amongst them who know very well what they are about, having been employed as Rangers against the Indians and Canadians and this country being much covered with wood, and hilly, is very advantageous for their method of fighting. . . . ".  Lord Percy

Sounds like New Englanders to me.
