Clinic day began before breakfast (and sunrise) for the instructors and after a quick meeting, the range was setup and we welcomed our students who all arrived ahead of schedule.  Gator led us off with first strike and after the safety brief we brought the students to the line for the morning redcoat, followed by instruction and individual rifle fitment checks for each student.  None of the students were novices and it is safe to say they knew very much what they were about and proved it by all achieving 4 MOA groups after only three squares.  It was fun to see for both the students and instructors.  We introduced them to their targets and nearly had to break out a sharpie to illustrate some of the talking target examples due to all the quality groups visible on the line.  We were able to break early for lunch to hear Leadslinger66's second strike and IMC by Gator.  The time monkey was no where to be seen.  After lunch, we experienced some loosening of the groups and shot a few squares and did some fine tuning clicks to re-tighten things.  We broke again for Overmountain's third strike, took a hydration and bio break, then jumped straight into seated and standing instruction using green coat targets.  After a series of both dry practice and live fire exercises, we posted an AQT and saw great results.  Scores were in the mid 100's with a high of 192.  We had several students on the line who had dexterity limitations that challenged the instructors to show them how to improvise, adapt and overcome to apply the fundamentals to what they could physically achieve.  One of these students shot the 192.  I am immensely proud of both the students and the instructors.  It was a great day for heritage, history and marksmanship.  We ended the day by presenting our range host with an Appleseed T shirt and returning the range to him as clean (or cleaner) than we found it.  I expect we will see all of these students again at a 2 day or KD event in the near future!  Huzzah!

All the shooters were open to instruction and suggestions, as well as soaking up the history. It was a good day and I hope to see everyone again soon at another event!

It was a great day. I hope to see all the shooters back on the line in the near future.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.
