Wow!  This was another scorcher with temperatures in the 90s and high humidity.  But that didn't deter two determined shooters coming out to hear the history of April 19, 1775, improve their marksmanship, and have fun!

Howell has recently returned to shooting after a long hiatus.   The day started off a little rough with some iron sight issues, them being off by about 30 MOA from the factory.  Some well applied IMC got them situated.  He also was able to try out a scope for the first time via a loaner rifle and saw immediate improvements in groups.  Nothing like an Appleseed to wring out equipment.  We really drew inspiration from his persistence given the harsh conditions.

Olddominioniron is an IIT from out East who came to experience a shoot in a different region and get in a requal.   He brought up some very interesting observations during history.  And when it came time for AQT, he smashed through with 229 (no 30-caliber rule applied).  All the instructors were confident that he will be getting his distinguished patch with some smoothing out of the transition stages.  Come back anytime, Olddominioniron!   O0

Of course,  :pics:.  So here are a few:

It was a pleasure spending the day with everybody, and a great reminder of what a hoosier summer day is like...looking forward to coming back and maybe doing some KD work @ Red Brush.

Huzzah!
"(Were) they nourished by your indulgence? They grew by your neglect of them. As soon as you began to care about them, that care was exercised in sending persons to rule over them, in one department and another…Sent to spy out their liberty, to misrepresent their actions and to prey upon them; men whose behaviour on many occasions has caused the blood of these sons of liberty to recoil within them."
