Palm Bay, FL Jun 12-13, 2021 AAR

It was a typical spring weekend for Florida--hot and muggy but not unbearable. Both days we had to take a time-out from the high wind and heavy rain of a passing storm front. The shooters took it in stride and when we resumed continued to make progress on their rifle skills.

Angel improved tremendously after we discovered her scope had been loose all day Saturday. Her husband Joe's also loosened up on Sunday. Loctite is your friend! Sisters Madelyn, age 10, and Olivia, age 9, our designated marksmen worked hard and their scores showed how attentive they were to the instruction. Madelyn proved it when she shot a 210!

Donnie and Joy who have shot with us before and their son Baron all shot Sharpshooter and will soon be Riflemen. Derrick and Todd came close to making Rifleman. Dennis, Mick and Nate learned their lessons and performed well for the first time out.

Scott requalified as Rifleman with a 213. He also took the prize for Seventh Stepping. Scott was responsible for five of our students at this event and has brought many others to events before. HUZZAH!

Thanks is due to Port Malabar Rifle & Pistol Club for again allowing us to host our event for free on their beautiful Smallbore Range. A round of applause is due to my fellow instructors for making this a smooth and safe experience for the students. Thanks to Malabar, Sieggie, MyNameIsEarl, EpicQuilter, and Alarm Lister.

What a great day for all. Dodging the rain; beating the heat;  and making wonderful memories. I am always impressed by how much everyone improves and the positive persistent attitudes of all who attended.

Despite a few mechanical challenges with a few rifles, and a fair amount of water falling upon us; the weekend was perfect learning environment for great history and a lot of marksmanship.

I thank all of the participants for the chance to spend time coaching and getting to know more patriots in our never ending pursuit of life, liberty and happiness.  See everyone real soon.
