Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye -

Let it be known that the first-ever public half day events in the great state of Texas were a smashing success!   ^:)^ Shooters were successfully introduced to the ideas of Steady Hold Factors, the Six Steps of Firing the Shot and Natural Point of Aim.  Even better - participants were given a taste of the Heritage that comes from our shared American History - juuuust enough of a taste to make them want to come back for more.  ;)

The weather was beautiful for our five participants, despite the wind forcing instructors to occasionally chase after some loose papers.

The AM session started off strong with three participants.  ALL of these participants were VERY impressive.  We managed three "hits count" targets and high scores were 46, 47 and 52! Wow!  It's no surprise that each one earned the rank of Marksman, Sharpshooter and Sharpshooter-Plus for the day.  :snipersmi

The afternoon event brought in two new shooters - a wonderful father & son combination.  One of our morning shooters was able to stay over as our guest, as well.  We were able to complete two "hits count" targets before the end of the day, and pulled out another two Markmen, Sharpshooters and Sharpshooters-Plus.  Huzzah!  O0

The entire group took safety very seriously, learned something new and had fun doing it.  Two of these fine Americans are already signed up for full 2-day events coming soon to a town near them, and at least one other person was very clearly interested in taking the weekend off to dive deeper into History, Heritage and Marksmanship. ^:)^

A humble and sincere "thank you" is due to Steck, KProctor and Gugisman for coming out and helping to make this the smashing success that it was.  Your presence allowed for nearly a one-to-one instructor / participant ratio, and made all the difference in the confidence level of this fine group of Americans.  You, the posterity, continue to demonstrate the good use of the liberties that the previous generation took such great pains to preserve.  :F

My son and I attended this half day Appleseed clinic and would like to extend our thanks to all the instructors in attendance and as well as a thank you to the range operator for hosting this event. This was our first Appleseed and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a so much fun and learned so much in only a few hours. Thanks Project Appleseed for putting on such a wonderful event and we'll see very soon at a two day Appleseed.
