What a great weekend for an Appleseed in the Husker state!  Larry from LincolnIkes, our host range, really rolled out the red carpet for us!  You have our gratitude!  You can visit them at www.lincolnikes.com
We had a good mix of first timers and return shooters and all were highly motivated!  After we shook out the cobwebs from lack of shoots due to the pandemic, things really started to roll on Sunday.  The line doubled with some returning friends of Appleseed showing up as walk-ons with a couple making the trek from Kansas.
The shooters really soaked up the instruction and it showed in the progress that they made through out the AQT grind.  We were able to give out several Rifleman patches with some outstanding scores. We even had a pair of brothers qualify!  Talk about sibling rivalry!  The bitter/sweet was those that didn't make Rifleman were sooo close, but they never gave up and it won't be long before they earn them.  Riflemen persevere!
As an added bonus, we had one young man step up and ask to take an Orange Hat!   We also had another shooter go for the final redcoat target with an M1 Garand!  Such a treat!
A special thanks to Sleepy for pulling an all nighter to get here from Wyoming!

Great shoot, except for the idiot who was supposedly running it. Thank the Lord there was a squared-away SBIT to save the day!

Great people, great shooting, promotions (in the works...home now); who could ask for anything more?
