Wow! What a fun weekend!  It was good to see many of our regulars back with several new to AS shooters.  Two folks cleared Redcoats for the first time.  We also had fun with the "Natural Point of Oreo" drill.  Since the range doesn't allow live fire before 13:30 on Sunday, we spent the morning telling the 2nd & 3rd strikes and dryfiring.  Thanks to the efforts of several of our instructors, we have several laser rifles to use in our training.  We were able to rotate the shooters through using the laser rifles to see how only tiny movements are needed to find NPOA.  It was an eye opener and helped the shooting that afternoon. 

Now for the congratulations to our newest Rifleman.  Faith Over Fear started attending AS events after her hubby (Misawa, a Red Hat) got her to try it.  She has been a Blue hat for about 5 years and has worked and shot at 10 AS.  Saturday morning she received her Applecore sweatshirt and pin;  Saturday afternoon she cleared her first Redcoat.  Sunday afternoon she scored Rifleman! I'm don't think there was a dry eye among us. The license plate for their vehicle when read is Persist (not the way is appears on the plate). Well, Faith Over Fear clearly demonstrated that characteristic and we are all thrilled that she has agreed to take an Orange Hat.

We are looking forward to the next LS event in Mechanicsville.  Hope to see both familiar and new faces there!!!
