I finally got the chance to put some rounds through my new my wife's new rifle, a Tippmann Arms M4-22 Project Appleseed Edition.  Everything functioned well - no mag or ammo issues at all across ~100 rounds - but that front sight is chonky!  I originally compared it to a 2x4 but after letting a friend shoot it he commented it was closer to a 2x6!

Has anybody replaced one of these front sight posts with something skinnier?  I'm thinking about the Blitzkrieg components pointed post, but am wondering if it would need to be the one for an MBUS Pro style sight - I don't think a standard one will fit.

The Tippmann Front sight post is proprietary. The 0.070" sight could be filed to desired width or substitute with Magpul.  I have a KNS Precision sightpak that includes 3 ball and 3 square front posts that measure 0.034, .052 and 0.72 inches.  Set also includes a V/inverted V sight post.  The smallest sight posts make the 400 yard target much easier to sight  in.  Hope this helps.  Keep shooting---accurately.

I removed my front post and filed both sides to a 45* angle to give a very finite aiming point.  I just used a dremel with a cut off wheel, it worked out pretty well.
