For the third straight year, patriots descended on Ramseur as the Congress of Riflemen was called into session! Thirsty for history and marksmanship, we had shooters and instructors come from as far away as Alaska.

The weather started off wet, and ended with cold mornings. However, between the hardy Americans on the line and a covered line, we didn't miss a beat. Besides, full sized steel D target silhouettes out to 500 yards allowed full distance AQTs without leaving cover.

We had a good number of riflemen:
Mark - 236 25M, 44 RFKD
Scott - 234 25M, 42 KD
Dan - 219 25M (with a North Bridge baptism for a 210)
Aaron - 230 25M
AJ - 212 25M
Koptor Doktor - 225 25M
SGT-AT-ARMS - 217 25M
Cowtipper - 41 KD
OldMikey - 41 KD
Pelon - 228 25M, 42 KD, 40 RFKD

We also had 4 shooters step up and take orange hats - it's my pleasure to welcome Scott, Dan, AJ, and Koptor Doctor to the cadre!

Pelon again offered his meal plan for the week - the convenience alone was worth it, but he also kept us royally fed. If I look a little 'heavy' in the pictures, it's all Pelon's fault. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

The instructors were incredibly professional (as usual), and jumped on every task without complaint. Whether slogging through a swamp to set up the rimfire KD line, or hanging steel, things just got done. I can't thank you all enough.

Ah yes, the cold water of baptism. That will teach me to shoot so poorly! ;D
It was a great week with good instruction and new friendships. I look forward to helping others learn the lessons I took away from Ramseur!

Thanks and a toast on this National Beer Day   to all of the RAMSEUR 3-21 instructor staff and participants for a great event. I regret that I missed last year's congress due to COVID rules at home, but I hope to return next year, Lord willing.

Yes!  Most a bit smaller than 5x7, I might add....

The 3 in the shingle picture hit their target during a very windy day!
Had to shoot it at 500 yards with a scoped rifle was the rule set before us!

Huzzah!  ^:)^

Koptor Doktor

It was an Honor to be present for this hallowed event. It was quite humbling (and knocked of a lot of dust). I learned so much from everyone present. The professionalism displayed all week was exemplary. Lord willing and the creek don't rise, I will return.

Thank you all and my deepest respect to you.
