Another awesome shoot in the bag at Central Texas Rifle & Pistol Club.  This Patriot's Day shoot saw twenty-one shooters on our line absorbing liberty and marksmanship instruction.  The group of students was outstanding.  They were safe, attentive and talented.

Our group of cadre is awesome beyond words.  I believe that if we had no students, we'd all get together anyway to spend quality time shooting and whatnot.

Weather was beautiful.  Our range was half filled with bluebonnets.  How much more Texas can you get?!

We made six new riflemen.  Additionally, four cadre requaled includding AF5US who requaled with distinguished of 243!  We also promoted TxJim49 to redhat.

Steck taught KD and wow'd us with her visuals.  She also wow'd us with her rendition of strike 3 from the perspective of a redcoat soldier.

Sorry to disappoint you, buddy.  This was only re-qualifying as distinguished, not a net-new distinguished.

I did beat my previous high score, if that makes you feel any better  ;)

Here's a pic of my AQT & the redcoat target I shot.

Interesting note on that redcoat and the 1 single shot on the top row that is outside of the groupings.  I had a failure to extract and had to get out of position to clear it.  It ended up being a great accidental visual aid to the participants on maintaining steady hold factors and not moving around after finding their NPOA.
