Would the Primary Arms Classic Series 6x32mm Rifle Scope - ACSS-22LR scope be suitable for Appleseed?

Yes, I have that scope on two rifles and would recommend it. It has plenty of magnification for 25-200 meter events, tracks well, and is simple to operate as a fixed mag scope. It is also light and compact - it is one of the few scopes that can fit on a standard length Ruger weaver or picatinny rail without eye relief issues. I have also tested the BDC for our Rimfire KD events and found that it was aligned to quality HV ammo (CCI Minimags) - we had a shooter qualify at a 200 yard rimfire event using only the reticle holdovers the first time using the rifle.

Definitely better than the glass I used at Appleseed.

If you have the budget for it (~$300), a SWFA SS 6x42 will be a more permanent fixed zoom scope solution.

The biggest impetus for me to move from a ~$100 scope to a better scope was the fixed parallax on the ~$100 scopes (like the Primary Arms Classic).  Having parallax that adjusts down to 10 yards lets you dryfire indoors a lot longer without your eye going all haywire.  A parallax that adjusts down to 10 yards lets me dryfire at 8 yards for more or less hours on end.  With the fixed 50 yard parallax, my eye taps out after 30 minutes, and it isn't comfortable the whole time.

It took me maybe 6 months of dryfiring before I finally caved and bought a more expensive scope - I haven't used the ~$100 scope since then.

But, I don't know your situation, so certainly that primary arms will work for appleseed.  A scope that is more expensive than your 22lr carbine is a tough pill to swallow at first lol.

I hear you on dry fire. Luckily the 6x Classic has an adjustable diopter for focus. Works well in my basement dry fire "range" at relevant distances. I wouldn't argue to glass is on order of a $200 or more scope, but plenty good enough for our events. And half the weight and probably the length of the SWFA scope (which seems very nice).

I seem to recall they had a Project Appleseed edition of that scope on display in their booth at NRAAM 2018. Did that ever become a thing?

That does get you most of the way there then.  Still hard to beat having target and reticle in the same focal plane.

A lot of that could just be my eyes being terrible.  If the parallax is off, even if reticle the focus is correct, after awhile my astigmatism starts to get cranky and presents all targets as oblong horizontal potatoes instead of a circle lol.  Which one of the two circles I'm seeing with double vision is the real one?  Who knows!  Actually, scatt knows, and will dutifully tell me that the X I thought I was aiming at is actually the ~8 ring of the correct bullseye.

I suspect without astigmatic eyes, it wouldn't be as much of a problem.

Primary Arms definitely punches above its weight-class.  Well thought out products.

You are smart to get a fixed magnification scope.  Too many people want to dial up their scopes to ridiculous values.  4X is ALL you need...remember, service rifle competitors routinely shoot out to 600 meters with 4.5X (or even no magnification)
