Here's your Call to Action, Coloradans!  Attached is the flyer for the 2009 Colorado Appleseed Tour.  FranktownKid's got March 28/29, April 18/19, and May 30/31 organized at Ben Lomond Gun Club and we'd like to have an Appleseed per month throughout the rest of the year - hopefully taking the tour through other ranges as well!

The bigger the Appleseed, the more fun it is.  So we need your help with spreading the word!  Here's what you do:

  • Download the flyer.
  • Print out copies (it's 1 page, front and back - the pdf's in color, but also looks great printed in black and white).
  • Reply to this thread and let us know which shops and clubs you'll take them to.
  • Go to those shops and clubs and ask them if they would be willing to set a stack of 1-2 dozen flyers out for their customers/members.  Better yet, ask them if they'd like to come too!
  • Don't stop there, make sure you let us know what online forums you're also going to post it to.

Pretty easy, eh?  With teamwork we can cover all the shops/clubs in Colorado and the local online forums.  So think of at least 5 different places you can ask to have it posted (local gun shops, chain sporting stores, gun clubs, ranges, etc.), then speak up here and and let us know which establishments you're going to cover.

If we all pitch in, this will be a tremendously successful year for Appleseed in Colorado!  O0

Many hands make light work and easy bailing.

I have 200 copies being printed. I'll hit up the Shootin' Den and Specialty Sports in C.Springs Saturday.

I was only able to make it to the Shootin' Den today. Someone had already left one copy of the flier there, but I went ahead and gave them a stack of 60 or so fliers.

Unfortunately I wont be able to make it to Specialty Sports today as I have to get ready to leave for Denver. I'll hit 'em early in the week.

Friday i managed to put up just under 100 fliers in Colorado Springs. Dont know how much some of them will be noticed but someone might see them.

Left a stack at the shooting counter of Sportsmans Warehouse
Left some at Leisures Treasures on Colo. Ave.
only had the one left to give to Cal at Shootin Den (did he have it up in the window yet?)
Put some on the shooting counter of Sports Authority on Academy
One at Hickman's Rifles
One at Lets Make a Deal
And I blanketed the campus of CC (dont know if it'll draw anyone but it's worth a shot)
If i can find the time this week i'll try to get some up at UCCS and anywhere else i can think of.

On Saturday we put up the roof on the high power range at Ben Lomond so sun, rain, and snow wont be any problem. Managed to get a few people interested in attending as well.
