We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

Our first event of the year was a great success. Weather was great until the last few hours of the weekend when the wind started kicking up. We actually had a dust devil that flew directly through the shoot and kicked mats and sent targets flying. We had some old faces from recent shoots and some reunions from Appleseeds long past. RangeRat and SniperCat came out of retirement to join in the fun. It was also nice to see Persistent_1 again and his help was greatly appreciated on Saturday.

Redcoats were relatively disappointing to all present on Saturday morning. The fact that marksmanship is a perishable skill was apparent. Many including including our two time rifleman, Jeremy, said that they hadn't shot since March due to everything going on. He along with 10-E, however, both reached rifleman status as it started to all come back. There was marked improvement throughout the weekend from everyone in the group as they material and drills helped the instruction sink in. Riflemen persist and it showed in their determination.  All in all, a good time was had by all.

Families shooting together, friends supporting friends, and individuals in search of self betterment made up our group. It really is an honor as an instructor to be a part of that.
Congratulations again to our two riflemen and a big welcome to our newest IIT Jeremy.
Thanks goes out to the instructors and to DSRPC for hosting the event.

No pics this time around. The dust devil must have blown them away.

See you again in December!
