Appleseed returned to Bozrah R&G for a one day shoot this past Saturday. All the pre registered shooters made it along with 2 walkons.

The range was ready for us and the shooters took to the instruction very well. First break at lunch for the 1st strike and a few shorter ones throughout the day with the 2nd and 3rd strike and to get into the shade. We have been encountering warmer and far more humid weather than usual and the short breaks helped a lot.

After the completion of instruction we hit the AQT grind. When the dust settled we had 5 Rifleman total, 2 new and 3 re qualify.

The first new RM is Sebastian, with solid 216 score. He had attended numerous events in the past and it all finally came together for him this weekend. The second new RM is Kaz, with a 212 score. He started with a 22 but went to a centerfire and hammered out his score that way.

Our re qualifying shooters were Pat with a 210 and a nice dousing of cool spring water. Next came Matt with a 225, this after some time away from the range. Glenn hung tough with a 216 score to finish the day up.

All of the attendees were great to work with, even with the heat and humidity. A few had to cool down a couple times but most hung in until the end. Kudos to all of you.

The club did a stand up job with having the range and facility ready. The club provides a nice breakfast and lunch and no one went away hungry. Thanks to Bob and Ted for their efforts. We look forward to events there in the future.

The IT crew of scout74, CAANY, Perserverance and Parallax made the whole effort run well. Their past experiences helped several shooters over the line and helped all immensely. Thank you gentlemen.

A Rifleman persists.

Tom and I camped out the night before.
The club was kind enough to let us also do some shooting before setting up camp for the night.
