We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a

Happy Birthday, America!  Seven dedicated Patriots braved the western Pennsylvania heat to attend the birthday party at Beaver Valley Rifle and Pistol Club.  Thanks to BVRPC for hosting us for ELEVEN years!

The skies were blue, the temperature was hot, and the pace was just short of frantic as we attempted to cram the contents of a two-day class into one day.  The results were encouraging.  On the two AQTs that were fired, Chuck scored a 230 to requalify, and Virginia scored 212 to earn her Rifleman patch.  She also cleared a Redcoat, thus earning her 1st PA Rifles patch!  Wade, Josh, Leo and Hope all made progress on their rifle skills.

Thanks to all for coming out to celebrate our nation's birthday with Project Appleseed, and we hope to see you all again, soon!

After a reading of the Declaration of Independence, we settled into a little instruction.
"In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."  Mark Twain

A memorable day for many reasons, not the least of which is that now all three of my "girls" are Riflemen!

Finally got trigger time with the kids!

It was a great shoot.
Last evening, it occurred to me that when a defender of Liberty is called home, their load lands upon the shoulders of the defenders left behind. Just as the Founders did their duty for Liberty, every subsequent generation must continue their work lest Liberty perish. As there is no way for the remaining adults to take on the work of those that die, we must pass the ideals and duties on to the children. -PHenery
