Hi Everyone

July 11th 2020, Chino Valley Arizona Rimfire KD One Day Event.

WOW what a mouth full but it happened and although we had several challenges we persevered.
Lets talk about challenges.

First COVID: Students are starting to come back t the lines. We had a full class but we had two that needed change their plans.
But things are looking up the Aug class is nearly full.

Second Weather: We had 100+ temperatures most of the day. It was tough but we persevered. We had to take cool down breaks but we got to shoot several AQTs. A person needed to sit out the AQT but participated through the whole class.
More on the Weather: We had what looked like an incoming monsoon, it got to within 3 miles of us, thunder and lightning. It stalled at 3 miles but we got all the wind. The wind cooled us down but nearly destroyed 3 easy ups and blew all loose things everywhere.
Yet more on Weather: We had a downburst form on our target line. It started out as what felt like a 20+ mph head wind, then looked like a moving dust storm that you could not see through. Then in one moment started twisting, right over our target line and destroyed every backer. It was tough but we persevered.

It was a tough day but students and instructors persevered.
We had one student hit the score and one four hits off.

Cool things we got to see. Note, no pictures taken for this class. It is what was needed for this class.
We had one younger student shooting 5 moa groups at 100 yards, it was impressive.
Our other three students all got solid 4 moa groups at 100 yards. Two got to see and use Battle Sight Zero and come ups.
It was an event full day with rifle malfunctions, target destruction, weather explosions and yet, It was tough but we persevered.

Thank you to Gina and John who own The Compass Training Center and support Appleseed.
Thank you to the students for attending and work hard.
Thank you for Bucklenose for volunteering as an Instructor.
Thank you God for a Safe class and hard working, liberty minded Americans.

CYA all Aug 15th for the next Appleseed.
