What a great way to spend New Years Day, shooting 600 yards with American Patriots! No sling shooting this day, just precision F/TR rifles. We made it a competition, good Riflemen attended and put rounds down range on the F Class target. Shooting against skilled Riflemen, just makes you shoot even better! The ten ring is six inches, the X ring is three inches, pretty small! If you don't put the majority of your rounds in the ten ring, you're not going to do well against your fellow Riflemen!

We follow NRA rules, firing three strings of fire, twenty in each string. Possible 200 points per string.

Shooting on the electronic Solo brand target system, is very nice, able to track your hits as you go and make adjustments as needed! The system is much like the type used at Talledega.

A good time was had by all, good scores were made, even in the high wind we experienced!

Back on my home range, I have continued to practice reduced AQT's, getting ready for the upcoming Appleseed in Bald Knob at the Vets Shooting center, looking forward to it.

As always, if you happen to be in our AO, want to shoot with some old hand Riflemen, give us a ring, we'll likely saddle up and meet you at the range.

Quinncannon, out.
