Monticello Sportsmen Club continues their incredible support for Project Appleseed and was our host once again for the Great North IBC. The weather this year was definitely a factor. A storm rolling through on the Thursday night before the event left the interstate between Des Moines and Minneapolis littered with cars, trucks and semis. As we kicked off our IBC in the calm between storms, while the bad weather predicted for Sunday turned into a Winter Storm Warning. We hunkered down and got to work. We had Appleseeders from Minnesota and also across the border from Wisconsin. This was also the first event for 3 brand new orange hat Appleseeders; BogWalker, Curmudgeon Mindset and  Blisterpack. These Appleseeders showed up ready to learn how to share the Appleseed message and skills. As the winter weather came in full force, we stayed as long as we dared before extinguishing the lamp of liberty on another successful IBC. Thanks to ProudPapa14 and Destroyer for putting this event together and also for feeding us some great food (and Neckburn's Mac and Cheese! . . . which I didn't eat).

We cut out early to beat the incoming snow storm which would bring record snowfall to Minneapolis.
