Eight ladies arrived early on Saturday morning at Bullet and Barrel in Huntsville for our inaugural event at this relatively new indoor range.  The range is owned by a woman, so it was fitting for our first event there to be a Ladyseed.  They call themselves a Guntry Club, but that's just the beginning.  There are some pics below and more at https://www.bulletandbarrel.com

The ladies listened intently to the first strike of the match then we started with a short introduction to rifles and ammo.  Once we were on the range we found that everyone was eager to learn.  Our group varied widely from Hailey, who had been on the JROTC air rifle team throughout high school, to Gloria who has several great grandchildren and had never been around firearms.  Following the Redcoat target we learned the fundamentals of prone position, six steps of firing a shot, and NPOA and put them into practice.  We heard the second strike at lunch then returned to the range and continued to see shot groups shrink.  We worked on IMC followed by stated and standing positions with the third strike of the match sandwiched in between.  We even managed to squeeze in an AQT where we learned that Hailey knew very well what she was about with a Rifle(wo)man score of 221!  Huzzah!!  ^:)^ ^:)^
Amanda came in with an impressive 201 on her first attempt at shooting a rifle.  Liz, a regular with a B&B pistol group, had a good target as did Emily, who had been in a competition with her daughter Hailey all day.  Carrie and Whitney both made great progress after we finally got a rifles that fit them well and Gloria went from having trouble finding the target to putting together impressive groups.  CJ had to leave early but has vowed to return to another event.

It was a very full day and the ladies were tired, but smiling.  Every single one of them made progress and I couldn't be more pleased with how hard they worked.

From your instructor crew, it was our honor and privilege to work with you last weekend and we hope to see you at another event soon.  Remember, a Rifleman persists!

Check out this facility . . . part range, part gun shop, part boutique, part event center.  How lucky can we get to host events here?!?

Congratulations on your initial Appleseed at B&B. The grouping on Hailey's Standing 100  is excellent-no doubt her JROTC competition days and discipline helped there. It looks like someone cross-fired on her target if I counted the hits right. That range looks great, can't wait to see it in person.

It was true pleasure to with such an outstanding group of shooters!  I hope to see you all at another event.  A huge thank you to Louis, George and all of the Bullet and Barrel crew!  The facility is awesome.  We were treated like family by the entire staff.
