Friday, rimfire KD, out to 200 yards.
Shooters, you have 9 months check and possibly upgrade your sights if you want to adjust elevation.  If you want to hold over you can use the nine months to work on your hold over.
About 24 minutes of elevation should get you there.
So, how would you hold your sight to hit 6 inches high at 25?

Saturday, and Sunday, Centerfire KD.
Last year at Laramie and many other KD events, seeing the bottom edge of the target has been difficult without optics.
This year the bottom edge of the targets will visible from the firing line. Scoring rifleman with iron sights will be a can do at this event.

Space is limited, sign up, mark your calendar, if needed up grade your sights, and see you there.

Just five months now,
Friday's Rimfire Kd will be a lot more fun for shooters who can hit targets 24-30 minutes higher than a 25 yard zero.
Don't forget to get some good ammo, Bring what your rifle likes. I'm bringing CCI Mini Mags, just 6.99 a hundred at Murdoch's.

Bumping this one up; only a few months away.
The Laramie Rifle Range has put some work into the Known Distance range (we call it our Canyon Range) - should be much more accommodating for the event this year!
First -  There are now berms built at the rimfire KD distances. Much easier to see your target and smooth/level firing positions.

Second - The berm used for the centerfire KD has been widened by about 5 feet. Now we can actually fit instructors and shooters with ease!

Thanks to Rex, Joe and many others at the range for helping make the improvements!

Here is a picture from last year showing what the range looks like (1-400 yards)

Great improvements!
Thank you.
That pic from last year doesn't convey the steepness of the walk up to check targets.
The KD shoot at Laramie is just a starter warm up for elk season.
