Appleseed was privileged to host our first event up in Minnesota's Iron Range this past weekend. Thank you to our host range the East Range Sportsman's and Conservation Club of Aurora, MN for the use of their fine facility. We look forward to a return in 2020 and maybe some trigger time on your full distance range.

We could not have asked for a better group of students. Everyone did their best to apply the marksmanship instruction and all were absorbed by our telling of the events of April 19, 1775.

Congratulations to our new Riflemen 14 year old Mark (son of proud papa IIT CJCB) who crushed it with a 221 after several scores in the low 200s. Do I see an Orange Hat in that young man's future? Not to be outdone 17 year old Daniel was able to put it all together by getting into the Rifleman's Bubble on AQT stage four coming in with a 214. Did I mention that this was Daniel's first Appleseed and that he had to unavoidably miss all of Saturday's instruction?

Daniel's sisters were chasing him all day Sunday too. 15 year old Hope had several scores in the 190s despite recurring equipment issues and 13 year old Ellie scored into the 170s. Family patriarch Joel shot on Saturday but just coming back from carpal tunnel surgery was unable to participate on Sunday. He did a superb job supporting his family from the equipment area though.

Will down on the left end of the line had a high score of 177 and Bob despite running a bolt with TEC sights was having no problem accurately getting off all of his rounds on the rapid fire stages by Sunday afternoon. I look forward to seeing you guys again next year here or at Hinckley and I'll be sure to bring a Rifleman patch for you.

Thank you Chris/CJCB for both finding this location and your fine instruction this weekend. Without you this event would never have happened.

See you in 2020 Aurora!
Honoring the memory of Adonijah Taylor (1730-1810) my Grandfather seven generations back, Deerfield MA Militiaman and Patriot, who answered the alarm on April 19, 1775 and along with his six sons served in the War of the Revolution.

The youth are the future. Thank God for this group!

And thank you for all you do to promote freedom in borderline states like Minnesota, where totalitarianism is daily a vote away.

Sounds like this was a great event way to go
