We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

Our Saturday started out rainy and cold, and though the rain moved out by about lunch time, the clouds and cool weather stuck with us all day.  But, our 8 shooters persisted, and did not even seem bothered by the weather!  7 of our shooters were new to Appleseed and 3 were youth.  All of our shooters showed interest in the marksmanship training and history presentations, and great improvement was shown in the shooting.  All of our young shooters were exceptionally safe!!

Sunday brought warmer and sunny weather with 7 shooters returning.  Everyone seemed rested and ready for another day!!  At the conclusion we had a rifleman requalify and 2 new rifleman!!  Everyone talked about how much they enjoyed this event, and it seems that all plans to return in the future.

I want to thank the Egyptian Rifle and Pistol club for allowing us to use their range!  And thanks again to all shooters for attending and I certainly hope to see you again in the future!

Leslie, thank you for putting on such an awesome clinic.  You, Don, JP & Larry all aided in your own way to help me achieve the rifleman status. It's a great feeling to no longer be a cook. I'll continue  perfecting the techniques you all taught me to keep improving.  I look forward to seeing you all on another shoot one day soon.

Worked with a relatively new 4-H shooter at Central Illinois Precision Shooting a month or so ago. Shooter had natural talent, and was very teachable. I talked with Dad, and recommended Appleseed. (SOP) Dad and daughter both make it out to Marion: AND I got nice pics of daughter, patch, and Leslie; and daughter, patch and Don. How cool is that? Thanks. Keep up the good work. I hope to get a chance to work with you all.

Congratulations to all.

A follow-up: Shannon who patched at Bonfield May 4&5, won the Illinois High School Rodeo 22 light rifle this past weekend. She said: "NO WAY" she could have done it without Appleseed. She is going to pass on Nationals for this year, practice, and go again next year.

This is great for America, and this is building a strong father-daughter relationship.
